Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Prabhudarshan collects, why, and how we protect it. We collect the minimum needed to run the Service.
What we collect
- Account info — your phone number or email, used to sign you in.
- Usage data — which aartis you watch, which temples you favourite. Used to personalise your home screen.
- Payment data — Razorpay handles your card / UPI details directly. We only store the subscription status.
- Push tokens — only if you opt in to aarti reminders.
- AI feature inputs — the palm photo, questions, and reading context you submit when you use an AI-powered feature (see below). Collected only when you use that feature, directly from what you submit in the app.
AI-powered features
Some features — AI palm reading, tarot readings and their follow-up chat, the Nivaran “Ask” assistant, daily horoscopes, and AI trip suggestions — are powered by Claude, an AI model operated by Anthropic PBC (a US company). When you use one of these features, the data needed for that feature is sent to Anthropic to generate your result:
- Palm reading — the palm photo you submit, your chosen hand, and your language. Your photo is stored on our servers so your saved reading can show it, and is automatically deleted within 30 days.
- Tarot & follow-up chats — your questions and the reading they refer to.
- Nivaran Ask — the concern you describe and the messages you write.
- Kundli, horoscope & astrology readings — the birth details you enter for the chart (the name on the chart, date, time, and place of birth).
Before the first time you use palm reading, a follow-up chat, or Nivaran Ask, the app tells you this in place and asks your permission; nothing is sent if you decline. Kundli, horoscope, and astrology readings send the chart's birth details only when you yourself request that reading. Anthropic processes this data solely to generate your result on our behalf, does not use it to train AI models, and does not retain it beyond the limited period allowed by its commercial API terms. Your account identity — your phone number and email — is never sent to Anthropic.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data to advertisers.
- We don't use third-party trackers for behavioural advertising.
- We don't read or share the messages or images you submit to a temple's seva request.
Where data is stored
Data is stored in India on managed Postgres infrastructure. Backups are encrypted at rest. Cloudflare Stream and R2 host your video content.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, all from the in-app account page or by emailing ashish@prabhudarshan.live.
Changes
We will notify you in-app at least 14 days before any material change to this policy.
